Privacy Policy

This policy describes how the Aspen Counseling website handles information. It applies to this website only. Privacy practices for therapy itself are covered separately in our Notice of Privacy Practices, which every client receives at intake.

What we collect

If you use the contact form, we receive what you enter: your name, phone number, email address, your preferred time of day for a call, and whatever you write in the message box. We do not use advertising trackers or sell information to anyone.

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited and whether the contact form was submitted. Analytics never receives anything you type into the form.

How we use it

Contact form submissions are used solely to reach you and schedule a consultation. Your submission is delivered into Spruce, the secure platform our practice uses for client communication, where it is visible only to practice staff. If that delivery ever fails, staff receive an alert email containing your name and contact details so they can call you; the message you wrote is deliberately left out of that email. You are welcome to keep your message brief and save the details for our call.

Reviews and testimonials

We do not ask clients or former clients for reviews or testimonials. Oregon's counseling ethics rules prohibit it, because of the influence a therapist has in that relationship. If you see a review of us online, it was not requested by us. We also cannot reply to any review in a way that confirms or denies whether someone is a client, so if you have a concern, please call us directly.
