Therapy for Teens and Young Adults

A place that is theirs, with adults who are not in a hurry.

Teens rarely choose therapy for themselves; someone who loves them is worried. That starting point shapes everything, so the first job is making the room genuinely theirs: a place where what they say is taken seriously and where the therapist is not a messenger for their parents.

The work draws on what fits the person: skills for anxiety and big emotions, EMDR for trauma when it is a good fit, and steady, person-centered attention to identity, friendships, school pressure, and the future. Our clinicians' backgrounds include crisis care and wilderness therapy with teens, and that experience shows up as patience.

Parents are part of the picture. We meet with them at the start, agree together on what stays private and what does not, and check in as the work goes on. For young adults, that involvement is theirs to decide.
