If you're navigating trauma, dissociation, identity questions, or the weight of survival mode, you may feel fragmented, exhausted, or unsure of who you are. Many people come to therapy longing for clarity, stability, and a deeper connection to themselves.

I offer a grounded, collaborative approach that moves at your pace. Using EMDR, DBT-informed skills, and a person-centered lens, I help clients build safety, self-trust, and connection with all parts of who they are.

My background includes crisis care and wilderness therapy with teens — experiences that shaped my belief that healing isn't about quick fixes. It's about understanding your inner world and feeling whole again.

I'm deeply interested in how people make meaning of their lives, especially during times of challenge and change. My work is rooted in curiosity, reflection, and the belief that healing happens through relationship and awareness. Before entering the mental health field, I studied science, spent years immersed in visual art, and continue to work as an independent watercolor artist.

I bring extensive training in trauma-informed and somatic approaches, including yoga, trauma-sensitive yoga, Somatic Experiencing, and addiction counseling. I have taught in settings ranging from wilderness therapy to correctional facilities and value diverse perspectives on healing and resilience. Clients often describe my presence as grounded, calm, and enthusiastic.

Lezlie Kellison, Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Meet Lezlie Kellison, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Accepting new clients

Being human is tough. At times, life can feel absolutely unbearable, and our minds trick us into thinking "unbearable" means "forever." Feeling stuck and hopeless is something I've gone through personally, but I remind clients that every moment of every day, our thoughts can change, our circumstances can change, our relationships can change — nothing stays fixed.

Prior to Aspen, I spent two decades working in just about every setting imaginable — hospitals, jails, substance abuse programs, veterans' courts, refugee resettlement. I've been in the trenches long enough to know people are more resilient than they think.

If I have a specialty, it's "messy." I have a particular soft spot for the tangled stuff — messy relationships, messy thoughts, messy coping mechanisms (aka addictions). I work with individuals, couples, and groups, across ages. Whatever brings you in, come as you are — sad, angry, imploding, or all three at once. No cleaning it up first. No judgment.

Areas of focus

  • Relationships & couples
  • Addiction & coping
  • Feeling stuck or hopeless
  • Individuals, couples & groups
