There's a particular kind of exhaustion that creatives and professionals know well — the kind that sleep doesn't fix. You're functioning, even succeeding by external measures, but something essential has gone quiet. You've been moving so fast that you've lost track of what you're moving toward.
That's exactly what Aspen Retreats was designed for. Not a vacation. Not a detox. A genuine, clinically supported, ancestrally rooted immersion into the kind of healing that ordinary life — with all its noise and demand — keeps interrupting.
What makes a retreat different from anything else
Most wellness experiences sit at one extreme or the other: either purely clinical — sterile, diagnostic, bound by the fifty-minute hour — or purely experiential, beautiful but ungrounded with no real therapeutic container. Aspen Retreats holds both.
Every retreat is facilitated by Oregon Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists working alongside local tribal elders and guides. Evidence-based clinical practice and ancestral wisdom don't compete here — they deepen each other. That integration is rare, and it's what makes the work land at a different level.
Where you'll go
Oregon offers some of the most therapeutically powerful landscapes on the continent. We use all of it.
- Deschutes River glamping. Canvas tents and outdoor showers along one of Oregon's most iconic rivers. Close to the earth, close to moving water.
- Oregon Coast beachfront. Ocean-facing retreats where salt air and tidal rhythm do a kind of nervous system work that nothing indoors can replicate.
- Cascade mountain lodges. Fully appointed lodge settings for those who want deep wilderness without sacrificing comfort.
Every location is chosen as a therapeutic co-facilitator, not just a backdrop.
Your journey, from start to finish
A retreat with Aspen isn't a weekend that starts when you arrive. The container is built before you get there and held after you leave.
- Enrollment and intake. Your retreat coordinator walks you through a questionnaire, answers every question, and finalizes your reservation.
- Therapeutic intake (90 minutes). A licensed therapist meets with you — not to peel the onion, but to set clear personal intentions and help guide your journey. Virtual if you're not local.
- Regenerative dietitian intake. A conversation about sleep, nutrition, and movement, with practical tools you can use the moment you get home.
- The retreat itself. Days of rest, yoga, hiking, swimming, private sessions, and optional group gatherings, all tuned to the retreat's theme. First Foods-inspired meals by a personal chef. Facilitators available throughout.
- Post-retreat integration (90 minutes). Within one week of returning home, a licensed therapist meets with you to process, recap, and anchor what happened. Additional sessions available if needed.
Who these retreats are for
Aspen Retreats serves creatives and professionals — people who live largely in their minds and who carry a quiet hunger for something more grounded, more honest, more alive. Whether you're navigating burnout, a life transition, a grief process, or simply a growing sense that weekly therapy isn't moving fast enough, a retreat creates conditions that ordinary life can't.
All retreats accommodate singles, couples, and groups. Pre-planned retreats each carry their own theme and mission. Prefer something designed entirely for you? Our retreat coordinator builds fully customized private experiences from the ground up.
The most important healing often happens not in the insight, but in the long exhale that follows — and that exhale requires space we rarely give ourselves.
