IFS Therapy near Bend

Internal Family Systems therapy near Bend, Oregon

Get to know the parts of you that carry the weight.

Aspen Counseling offers Internal Family Systems therapy from a quiet office in Sisters, about thirty minutes from Bend. Tim Moore, LPC, has practiced and taught the IFS model for much of a 28-year career, and it remains the backbone of how the practice works.

This may be for you if…

  • You feel at war with yourself: harsh self-criticism, inner conflict, self-sabotage
  • Old patterns keep repeating no matter how much insight you have
  • Anxiety, depression, or shame that hasn't shifted with other approaches
  • Childhood wounds or trauma you're ready to approach at your own pace
  • You've done talk therapy and want to go deeper than managing symptoms

IFS starts from a simple idea: the mind is naturally made up of parts, and underneath them is a Self that knows how to heal. Rather than fighting anxiety, an inner critic, or the part that shuts down, we get curious about them. For many people who have done years of talk therapy in Bend and still feel stuck in the same patterns, that shift is the one that finally lands.

About IFS Therapy at Aspen Counseling

IFS is a gentle, evidence-based approach built on a simple idea: the mind is naturally made up of parts, and underneath them all is a Self that knows how to heal. Rather than fighting your anxiety, your inner critic, or the part that shuts down, we get curious about them, and things begin to change.

Common questions

Where do sessions take place?

In-person sessions are at 704 W Hood Ave, Suite C in Sisters, Oregon, a short walk from downtown and about a half-hour drive from Bend and Redmond. Secure video is available with every one of our clinicians, for clients anywhere in Oregon.

Is the drive from Bend worth it?

Sisters is a half-hour from Bend on Highway 20. Clients often find that the drive itself, and the quieter setting on arrival, helps the work settle in. If the drive is a barrier, say so on the consultation call and we will talk through options.

How do I get started?

Send a message through the contact page or call the office. Every new client relationship starts with a free phone consultation with our intake coordinator, a low-pressure conversation about what's bringing you in, your insurance, and which of our therapists is the right fit.
