For Oregon registered associates
Clinical Supervision Group
A small, steady group for associates working toward licensure in Oregon. Each meeting starts from your cases and the questions you bring. Tim brings 28 years of clinical practice, with a focus on trauma, Internal Family Systems and somatic work.

Who it's for
Professional Counselor Associates and Marriage and Family Therapist Associates registered with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists, and Clinical Social Work Associates working toward the LCSW with the Oregon Board of Licensed Social Workers. Join in person in Sisters or by live, secure video from anywhere in Oregon. The group adds to the individual supervision you already have; it does not replace it.
What we do in group
Bring a case you are working on, without identifying details, and we think it through together: assessment, treatment planning, the therapeutic relationship, ethics and Oregon's rules, and how the work is affecting you. You learn from each other's cases as much as your own. Tim leads every meeting, and the group stays at five associates or fewer.
How the hours work
- Counselor and MFT associates: Oregon counts group supervision for up to half of the supervision you need each month. The rest has to be one-on-one.
- Clinical Social Work Associates: group supervision counts toward your 100 supervision hours, at least 50 of which must be one-on-one. Up to 50 of the 100 can be with an LPC like Tim; at least 50 must be with an LCSW.
- Each meeting runs at least one full hour, the shortest meeting Oregon counts.
- Before your first meeting can count, your board has to approve a plan, or a change to your plan, that names Tim as one of your supervisors. For Clinical Social Work Associates, the Board of Licensed Social Workers approves him at your request. We fill out the forms with you.
- Counselor and MFT associates: Oregon allows no more than two supervisors for each practice on your plan, so if the practice where you see clients already has two, Tim cannot be added for that practice.
- Live, secure video counts the same as meeting in person. We offer video to associates who are in Oregon during the meeting.
- Counselor and MFT associates: once Tim is on your plan, Oregon requires your professional disclosure statement and everything you use to represent your practice, including advertising and directory listings, to name him as your supervisor.
Your own requirements depend on your plan. Each board's website has the details. Counselors and therapists board (opens in a new tab) · Social workers board (opens in a new tab)
Fee
Tell us what fits your situation. Oregon requires paid supervision to be a per-hour fee, and that fee goes on your Board-approved plan, so we agree on your hourly rate before you join.
Ask about joining
Send this and Tim or our office will be in touch to talk about fit, your plan and your rate. Asking does not commit you to anything.
