Substance use counseling

Substance use counseling in Sisters, Oregon

A steady place to sort out what's true and what's next.

Lezlie Kellison is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Aspen Counseling in Sisters, Oregon. Before joining the practice she spent two decades working in hospitals, jails, substance abuse programs, veterans' courts, and refugee resettlement. She has a particular soft spot for the tangled parts of life: messy relationships, messy thoughts, and messy coping mechanisms, including addictions.

This may be for you if…

  • Your use of alcohol or drugs, or another way of coping, has started to feel tangled up with the rest of your life
  • You feel stuck or hopeless and want someone who has seen a lot and will not judge
  • You want individual counseling, couples counseling, or a group

She works with individuals, couples, and groups, across ages. Whatever brings you in, you can come as you are, whether you feel sad, angry, imploding, or all three at once. There is no cleaning it up first and no judgment. Aspen Counseling is an outpatient counseling practice in Sisters, about a half-hour drive from Bend and Redmond, with a free phone consultation to start.

About Individual Counseling at Aspen Counseling

Not everything needs a specialized protocol. Sometimes you need a seasoned, grounded therapist and an hour that's actually yours, for anxiety, depression, grief, a crossroads, or the sense that your life has drifted from what matters.

Common questions

Where do sessions take place?

In-person sessions are at 704 W Hood Ave, Suite C in Sisters, Oregon, a short walk from downtown and about a half-hour drive from Bend and Redmond. Secure video is available for some of our work; we'll talk through what fits on the consultation call.

Do you take insurance?

The practice is in network with Medicare, Regence (BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon), PacificSource Commercial, PacificSource Community Solutions (OHP), Moda, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, and TRICARE. Not every clinician is in network with every plan, so tell us your plan on the consultation call and we'll match you with someone who takes it. Tim Moore and Lezlie Kellison are the clinicians credentialed with TRICARE. For other plans we provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement.

Is this a treatment program?

No. Aspen Counseling is an outpatient counseling practice. We offer counseling with licensed clinicians. We do not offer detox, residential care, or medication. If you need one of those, we will help you find it.

What if I am in crisis?

Call or text 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, at any hour. If you are in immediate danger, call 911.

How do I get started?

Send a message through the contact page or call the office. Every new client relationship starts with a free phone consultation with our intake coordinator, a low-pressure conversation about what's bringing you in, your insurance, and which of our therapists is the right fit.
